Friday CoEd Winter Week 1

[blouderback]

So this is cool, WINTER SOFTBALL! Well, not quite winter. The temps were in the 60's at game time. The inaugural Winter Ball season, with 3 teams, started out with a home-and-home double header between CSA and The Slashers. Jarret Kerns, Ryan Hensman, Mark Cooper, Sean Murphy, and male Eddie Carl Motts led CSA to 2 wins. Kerns went 8 for 8 in the two games, with a homer, 3 doubles and 6 RBIs. Hensman (not Curt), knocked in 5 RBIs, Coop went 8 for 8 with 4 doubles, Murph was 5 for 7 with 5 RBIs and a homer, and Grandpa Motts knocked in 9 runs and legged out a triple. Curt did actually show up to bang out 4 hits for his 6 tries and knocked in 3 to help out as well. For The Slashers, Chris Sanchez went 5 for 5 and Jen Sevitsky knocked in 3 runs on her 2 hits.

Next week, we'll get to see what Lady Birds can do after their bye week.
