Game #1 – Carroll’s vs. Altek

Carroll’s start off with three runs in the top half of the first with a Bryan Bart RBI single and sac fly from Bill Shipe. Altek gets one run back in the bottom of the inning on a Kyle Smith solo bomb. Carroll’s will get two more runs in the second on a John Zeits RBI single and Greg Lesher sac fly as they lead 5-1. Altek keep fighting and get two more runs in the second on a Ciarra Charlton two run double. Altek will tie the game in the third on a Nick Cataldi two run single as we are all square after two innings. Carroll’s go back up on top again in the fourth with three more runs. Bart and Shipe hit back-to-back RBI singles in the inning. Chris Lento and Scott Flaherty strike back for Altek with back-to-back RBI singles as their own. Altek will finally get on top and take their first lead in the fifth. Ryan Kerns knocks in a run on a double, while Brittany Lautenslager and Lento bring in runs on singles. Brandon Smith and Ciarra Charlton both add runs on sac flies in the inning as well. Altek will add two sixth inning insurance runs and shut it down defensively to win this one. Altek wins 14-10.

Game #2 – Dirty Balls vs. Knuckleheads

Next game gets rolling as both teams come out cold. Bob Stanley musters up one run on an RBI single as Dirty Balls lead 1-0 after one. Knuckleheads will take the lead in the second grabbing three runs on a Pierre Girin sac fly, Gary Thompson RBI double and Dylan Gallagher RBI single. Balls will get one run back in the bottom of the inning on a Dennis D’Angelo RBI single. Knuckleheads start to heat up in the third grabbing three more runs. Keith Keppley delivers the big shot with a three-run bomb. Balls will go silent until the fifth when they push across three runs. Tim Frei and Bob Stanley hit back-to-back RBI triples and then a couple batters later, Mark Rothenberger knocks in a run on a triple. Knuckleheads continue to answer as Jon Poore smashes a two run bomb in the fifth to keep them up. They will add three insurane runs in the sixth, two coming from a Jim Bell single and will hold off the balls late. Knuckleheads win 12-7.

Game #3 – Wehrung vs. GFP


Wehrungs come out red hot and will need to stay in this one with a furious GFP team. Luke Hendricks and Adam Hendricks bring in runs on singles. Jacob Lester brings in a run on a double and Paul Muth brings in two runs on a double. GFP will respond with four in the bottom of the inning. Brancato and Lissa Tercha grab runs on singles and Eric Schade will drive in two runs on a triple. GFP will explode in the second pushing across eleven runs. Chase Luxon will knock in two runs on a single, followed by a Brancato RBI single. Mark Cooper will add a run on a double and then Tess Frelick will add two runs on a deep sac fly. Wehrung will really slow down in this one as they can only muster up one more run. GFP will keep it rolling as they push six more runs across and will end this game early. GFP wins 21-6.

Game #4 – The Runs vs. Muckdogs

The final game of the night gets started with a five-run bottom of the first from Muckdogs. Ryan Hamilton has an RBI single, followed by a two-run single from Chelsea Detweiler. Ryan Bogle also adds a run on a triple in the inning. The Runs have a monster inning in the second pushing across eleven runs total. Amy Balash and Jon Sachy start it with RBI singles, followed by a Kyle Exner RBI double. Erik Cusano delivers the big shot in the inning with a grand salami. Muckdogs will stay consistent and grab four runs in each of the second and third innings. Walks help pace the second and in the third, Bill Stone delieverd an RBI triple and Doug Pieken delieverd a two run single. Runs would slow down after their big second inning. Muckdogs would take a lead and keep it in the fifth. Stonie and Ryan Hamilton both had RBI singles, but Tony Cabot had the big shot, a bases clearing triple. Muckdogs would keep pace throughout the game and win this one. Muckdogs win 18-13.
