Game #1 – Dirty Balls vs. Phanatics Batmen

Phanatics Batmen will strike first in this one as they get a two run bomb off the bat of Scott Gerhart to open up a two run lead. Dirty Balls will strike back in the second inning getting three runs on back to back doubles from Jason Dickerson and Alexis Roscioli. Gerhart was back at it again in the third inning, with another bomb, and another two run bomb. We would go silent until the fifth when Dirty Balls would get rolling again. Dennis D’Angelo will get a run on a single, but the big shot comes from a Bob Stanley grand slam that makes this a 8-4 game. Defense is on point for Dirty Balls as it seems that is all they will need. Balls get four insurance runs in the seventh as they will hold on and win this game. Tim Frei adds a late two run bomb to win help seal it. Dirty Balls win 12-4.

Both teams will come out slow as Dominick’s are the only team to net a run, on a Luke Hendricks RBI single. Doug Moninghoff nets two runs on a single and Luke Hendricks brings in a run on a single as Wehrung’s will lead 8-1. Dom’s will finally answer in the sixth and come out with their best inning. Zac Talmadge, Ray Barry and Owen Collings all knock in runs on a single, while Janice Tansits brings in two runs on a single. This is their best inning and their last inning of scoring runs today. Wehrung’s will hold on and win this, 8-6.
