Week 3 - 9/6/24

Game 1: Man Bear Pigs vs. Lady Birds

MBP scores seven runs in the top of the first on singles, an RBI double by Scott Gerhart, and a Justin Glennon RBI triple. LB answers with two runs on singles in the bottom of the first. LB gets two runs in the bottom of the third thanks to singles. MBP adds two runs in the top of the fourth. Mark Rothenberger rips a two run double for LB in the bottom of the fourth. MBP picks up three more runs on singles in the top of the fifth. Two runs cross the plate for LB in the bottom of the sixth. The Man Bear Pigs squeak by the Lady Birds, 12-10.

Game 2: Sinister vs. Monsters & Menthols

A leadoff triple by Sean Nonemacher nets MAM a run in the bottom of the first. Sinister bats around in the top of the second to plate seven runs on singles, and an Andrew Clarke RBI double. MAM plates two runs in the bottom of the second. Back to back to back doubles by Alex Freeman, Bill Brancato, and Tess Frelick net MAM five runs in the bottom of the third. Sinister bats around again in the top of the fourth to add six runs thanks to singles, a Ray Catania bases loaded triple, and a solo homer by Andrew Clarke. Tess Frelick smokes an RBI triple for MAM in the bottom of the fifth. MAM rallies for a run in the bottom of the seventh with the game winning hit by Mark Bernacki. Monsters & Menthols walks it off over Sinister, 14-13.

Game 3: Philly Philly vs. Trash Pandas

Shawn Thornton smokes a two run triple for PP in the top of the first. TP bats around in the bottom of the second to put up ELEVEN runs PP bats around in the top of the third to score eight runs on singles, and a Linda Luscombe double. Brandon Crockett jacks a three run homer for TP in the bottom of the third. TP scores three runs on singles, and a two run double by Arik Fenton. Bill Hamlett jacks a solo homer for PP in the top of the sixth. The Trash Pandas out slug Philly Philly, 20-15.

Game 4: Unhinged vs. Hagan’s Heroes

Rich Z blasts a two run homer as four runs cross the plate for Unhinged in the top of the first. A double by Chase Luxton helps HH get a run in the bottom of the first. Unhinged bats around in the top of the second on TEN runs with singles, and a two run triple by Jimmy Costar. Unhinged adds a run in the top of the third. HH bats around in the bottom of the third to pick up six runs on singles, and a bases loaded triple by Jim Lalley. Cory Wambold blasts a two run homer for Unhinged in the top of the sixth. HH rallies for four runs in the bottom of the seventh on singles, and a Jim Lalley two run double. Unhinged gets by Hagan’s Heroes, 18-13.
