Game 1: Hagan’s Heroes vs. Monsters & Menthols

HH takes the early lead with two runs on singles in the top of the first. MAM bats around in the bottom of the first to plate seven runs on singles, doubles by Sean Nonemacher, Bill Brancato, and Mark Cooper, and an Alex Freeman two run homer. Singles give MAM four more runs in the bottom of the second. HH adds another run in the top of the fourth. Alex Freeman smashes another two run homer as five more runs cross the plate for MAM in the bottom of the sixth. Monsters & Menthols easily takes the first game, 18-3.

Game 2: Monsters & Menthols vs. Hagan’s Heroes

A leadoff double by Sean Nonemacher nets MAM a run in the top of the first. Jay Pane gets HH on the board with a two run homer in the bottom of the third. MAM bats around in the top of the fourth to pick up seven runs on singles, and a two run double by Eric Schade. Jay Pane and Tom Koelzer blast solo homers for HH in the bottom of the sixth. Monsters & Menthols doubles up on Hagan’s Heroes in the second game, 8-4, and wins the spring title.
