Game #1 – Phanatics Batmen vs. Dirty Balls
Mike E will get this game rolling in the first with a two run single to give Batmen the early lead. Dity Balls will answer back with two runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. Tim Frei will get them rolling with a sac fly, followed up by a Jenn Sevitski RBI single to make this a 2-2 game after one. Both teams would go quiet in the second, before Aleis Rosciloi knocks in a run on a single. Frei would be back at it with two more RBI’s on a sac fly, this time almost making it to the woods, but still scoring two. Balls would start to take off in this game after that. They would get four runs in the fourth on RBI singles from Dennis D’Angelo and Josh Carl, with an RBI double from Bob Stanley. In the fifth, two more sac flies net them two more runs off the bat of Sevitsky and Tim Gluck. Frei will finally pop the big shot, smashing a grand slam in the sixth and putting this game to bed as they will move onto the next round. Dirty Balls win 17-6.
Player of the Game:
Nick Frei (Dirty Balls) – 1/1, BB, HR, 7 RBI’s
Game #2 – Muckdogs vs. Knuckleheads
The second game of the night gets rolling as both teams come out swinging the bat hot. Brett Anker and Tony Cabot hit back to back RBI singles for Muckdogs, while Bill Hamlett adds a run on another RBI single later in the inning. Knuckleheads will get five runs back in the bottom of the inning on a Jamie Burns and John Kiefer RBI single, Jon Poore RBI triple and Pierre Girin two run bomb into the woods. Muckdogs grab the lead back in the top of the second with five more runs. Cabot knocked in two on a double and Jeff Hess knocked in two on a single. But here come Knuckleheads again for nine more. L Wood and Poore knock in runs on singles, Wayner Horger knocks in a run on a double and Jose Rodriguez knocks in a run on a triple. Mike Marnoch had the biggest shot of the inning, scoring three runs on a homer. Muckdogs would grab three more runs over the next couple of innings, but the bats would go ice cold from there on out. Similar story for the Knuckleheads, but they won the early innings in this one and will book a spot in the championship series next week. Knuckleheads win 17-11.

Brancato will clear the bases again with another triple as they lead 12-2 in this one. Kyle Smith will hit another two run bomb, but that is just about all the offense that Altek can muster up in this one. GFP will keep rolling putting up another eight runs across the next three innings. Brancato will knock in two more runs on a single, while Lissa knocks in two runs on a single.
