Game #1 – GFP vs. Knuckleheads

GFP will open up with a two run bomb off the bat of newcomer Pat Kelley, which is then followed up by an RBI single from Bill Brancato as they take a 3-0 lead. Knuckleheads will respond getting four runs on an RBI single from Gary Thompson, two run single from John Kiefer and sac fly from Jim Bell. GFP get right back to scoring in the second with three RBI doubles from Alex Freeman, Chase Luxton and Adam Lightkep. Brancato adds a run on a single and PK adds another on a monsterious sac fly. We head to the third, when Knuckleheads grab three runs on a Dylan Gallagher RBI double and Brittany Ullman two run single as they still trail by a run. GFP will increase their lead in the fourth, scoring four on a Freeman RBI double and Kelley two run moonshot as they lead 13-8. Knuckleheads continue to battle and get three more runs in the sixth, from an RBI single from Thompson, RBI walk from Kiefer and sac fly Jose Rodriguez. Defense will put this one away as GFP will win this one 14-11.

Game #2 – Altek vs. The Runs

Both teams come out and fire three runs up in the first. Altek gets their runs on RBI triples from Brian Dart and Scott Flaherty while Brandon Smith nets a run on an RBI single. The Runs get their runs on a two run double from Kyle Exner and RBI single from Nick Perricone. Neither team will score in the second which sends us to the third. Atlek will grab another three runs on back to back to back RBI doubles from Kyle Smith, Brian Dart and Brandon Smith as they lead 6-3. Runs will again match them, getting runs on a Exner fielder’s choice and errors. A two run triple from Shawn Puskar will give Altek the lead again, this time hopefully for good. Alteks bats will really heat up in the last two inning as they will add eight total runs. Kyle Smith delivers a big blow with a three run bomb and Allie Long knocks in two runs with a triple. Runs try and hang around and get two runs back on a Bobby Ridenour triple, but its not enough to stay in this game. Altek wins 17-11
