Game 1: Monsters & Menthols vs. Philly Junk
Brandon Birkhead gets PJ on the board in the bottom of the second with a solo homer. MAM gets on the board with two runs in the top of the third. Brandon Birkhead launches a two run homer for PJ in the bottom of the fourth. MAM adds two runs in the top of the fifth. Roc Akers rips a two run double for MAM in the top of the sixth. Brandon Birkhead helps PJ pick up two runs in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI triple. We head to extra innings where Scott Forsythe walks it off for PJ with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth. Philly Junk beats Monsters & Menthols in dramatic fashion, 7-6.
Game 2: Man Bear Pigs vs. Slashers
The Slashers take an early lead in the bottom of the first with four runs on walks and a solo homer by Corey Van Fossen. Danny G gets MBP on the board in the top of the third with an RBI triple. Singles lead to five runs for the Slashers in the bottom of the third. Harrison Leal rips a two run double for the Slashers in the bottom of the fourth. The Slashers pick up six runs in the bottom of the fifth thanks to walks, singles, and a triple by Zach W. The Slashers make quick work of the Man Bear Pigs, 16-1.
Game 3: Philly Junk vs. Hagan’s Heroes
HH takes the early lead with a run in the bottom of the first. Clark blasts a two run homer for PJ in the top of the second. Mark Cooper smokes a two run triple for HH in the bottom of the second. Singles get HH three runs in the bottom of the fourth. PJ adds four runs in the top of the fifth with a Ryan C RBI triple. Brandon Birkhead smashes a three run homer for PJ in the top of the sixth. Vinny C and Brandon Birkhead blast back to back homers for PJ in the top of the seventh. Philly Junk takes the first game, 16-7.
Game 4: Hagan’s Heroes vs. Philly Junk
Singles give PJ the quick lead in the bottom of the first with four runs. HH plates two runs in the top of the second thanks to back to back homers by Wayne Horger, Jr an Mark Cooper. HH adds two runs in the top of the third. PJ scores seven runs in the bottom of the third thanks to homers by Jarrett Kerns and Brandon Birkhead. PJ picks up six runs in the bottom of the fourth on doubles by Amanda Clarke and Vinny C, and another Brandon Birkhead three run homer. PJ ends it early in the bottom of the fifth with three runs. Philly Junk takes the second game, 20-5, and the spring A title.
