Game #1 – Knuckleheads vs. Muckdogs

Muckdogs get rolling first with two runs on a Jeff Hess single. Knuckleheads will respond back with a two run bomb off the bat of Johnny Poore to level the game up. Knuckleheads will then grab a lead in the second inning grabbing four runs on RBI singles from Mike Marnoch and Wayne Horger as well as a two run single from Lauren Wood. Knucklheads would grab a run in both the third and fourth on a solo homer from Jose Rodriguez and RBI single from John Kiefer. Muckdogs finally show some fight in the fifth as they bat around (with 9 players) and score 4. Evan Gryzmkowski had the big shot with a two run double, while Ryan Hamilton chipped in with an RBI single. Jose Rodriguez would go yard again, with another solo shot to get one run back and add another in the sixth on a double as he continues to swing the bat well. Muckdogs grab a run in the seventh, but will come up short in this one. Knucklheads win 12-8.

Player of the Game:
Jose Rodriguez (Knuckleheads) – 3/4, 2B, 2 HR’s, 3 RBI’s

Game #2 – Dominick’s vs. Bat Intentions

Second game gets rolling with a sac fly from Kevin Udris and RBI single from Ed Reynolds to give Dom’s the early 2-0 lead. Jonathan Duchette gets a run back on a single to cut that lead in half. But Dom’s goes right back to work in the second with two more. Donna Finlayson and Bob Kolecki provide the offense on back to back RBI singles. Intentions will draw the game even, a common trend tonight, with three runs on three RBI singles from Greg Reilly, Duchette and Anthony Rapposelli. Dom’s will take the lead on an RBI triple and RBI single from Zac Talmadge and Stefano Giliani respectively. Back and forth we go with both teams having big innings. Dom’s had their big inning in the fifth while Bat Intentions had their big inning in the fifth. Mostly RBI singles. We head to the seventh, where we look to break the 12-12 tie. Both teams have opportunities, but in the end this one would end in a tie as neither team can break away.

Player of the Game:
Jonathan Duchette (Bat Intentions) – 4/4, 3 RBI’s

Game #3 – Dirty Balls vs. Wehrung’s

Dirty Balls will get this final game of the night rolling with two runs in the first on RBI singles from Jenn Sevitski and Bob Stanley. Wehrung’s answer in the bottom of the inning with back to back RBI doubles from Luke Hendricks and Daniel Muth as well as drawing a run on an error as they lead by one. Dirty Balls have a massive inning in the second pushing across nine total runs. The whole team gets involved, but the inning is highlighted by a Stanley RBI walk and three run bomb from Nick Pigott. Dirty Balls would continue to tack on, grabbing a two run bomb from Tim Frei and Alexis Rosciloi sac fly in the third, then another run in the fourth. Wehrung’s can only find two as they are quickly falling away in this one. Nick Pigott will put this game away with another three run bomb as Dirty Balls will clean up in this one. Dirty Balls win 19-8
