Game 1 - Big Mac Attack @ Dirty Balls (07/08/2024)
For the first game of the night, i usually don't expect too much noise... Dirty Balls came out slammin' cheeks in the first inning reaching their 3 homerun limit with homers by Will Parascandola, Tim Frei and Josh Carl. With the help of 3 doubles, 3 singles and and error in Left, Dirty Balls plated 10 runners in the first inning. Talk about an inning. After the first, they didn't score again until the 3rd, plating 1 run and again in the 6th, plating 2. Their solid first inning was enough to keep the Big Mac Sauce to the side tonight, holding them to only 4 runs through 7. Big Mac has some work to do if they want to turn things around after this pounding. Come back hard next week!

Game 2 - Short Bussers @ Jive Turkeys (07/08/2024)
This game wasn't exactly funeral quiet, but it never got too loud. Both teams made a little noise in the first inning as the Short Bussers first hitter got walked, 2nd hitter shoots a laser single and cleanup hitter, Ryan Cantwell, did his job, sending a fireball over the Great Short Porch, scoring 3. The Jive Turkeys answered right back with back to back Nukies to start their game. Cam Komonchak and Andrew Fantaskey were the culprits, sparking the energy that led to a 5 run first inning. They ended up scoring 5 more runs total between the 3rd and 4th innings, but that was enough to keep the Short Bussers at their bus stop, winning by a score of 10-6. It was a close game, a nail-biter even, but I'm looking for some more action next week by both squads. Keep grinding Short Bussers!

Game 3 - Short Bussers @ The Generals (07/08/2024)
Talk about a complete flip of a switch by the Short Bussers... In the first inning they came out with a vengeance plating 5 as the top of the lineup did it's job lighting the fire under their rear ends. The Generals answered right back HARD, scoring 7 in the first off of a pair of dingers from Ryan Caplin and Joey Aloia (sick name bro). The Generals kept the Short Bussers at bay in the 2nd innings, allowing 0 runs to score while they answered again, plating 3 runners in the 2nd. Short Bussers got back in the game scoring 4 through the 3rd and 4th while holding the Generals at 10 in the 3rd, until they unloaded again in the 4th plating 4 off of 6 singles and a sac-fly. This led to a burst of motivation and Grit from the Short Bussers slamming home 9 runs, making it a 19-14 game. Shorties would only score one more run in the 6th after a 6 run inning in the 5th by the Generals. This is what I'm talking about... That's how you bring the energy guys! This game unfortunately ended in a tie at 20-20 due to time limitations. Both teams impressed me in this bout. Good work. Keep up the hustle!
