Game 1 - Jive Turkeys @ The Generals
It was a slow start to the game for both teams. With the Jive Turkeys holding a 1 run lead heading into the 5th inning, the bats started heating up with Andrew Mayhew from the Jive Turkeys coming up clutch with 3 dingers. The Generals made a run late in the 7th inning with a pair of singles, a long ball and a 3 bagger. Close but not close enough, as Mayhew's 3rd dinger was the only insurance the Jive Turkeys needed to squeeze out the 9-8 dub. Let's see if Mayhew can show consistency at the plate through the next coming weeks.

Game 2 - Jive Turkeys @ Dirty Balls
The Jive Turkeys arrived ready to play, scoring 1 run in the first. Dirty Balls showed no sign of life through 3 innings until they finally answered with 3 runs in the 4th, led by a timely Double supplied by Connie Georgiadis, followed by the meat of the lineup. The Jive Turkeys bounced back in the 5th with singles by Bridget Birkhead and Cam Kommonchak and a double by red hot Andrew Mayhew, adding 2 crucial runs to the board and tying the game. Dirty Balls got their revenge in the 6th, bringing 8 runs to the plate. The onslaught was lead by a lead off walk and a 2 run homer by Tim Frei. Dirty Balls got what they came for as the Jive Turkeys spent some time in the pressure cooker this game. Let's see if they can come back strong in week 2!

Game 3 - Big Mac Attack @ Short Bussers
Big Mac Attack came out HOT in the first inning, plating 5 runs, led by a string of 6 hits, including 2 singles, 3 doubles and a triple. The Short Bussers responded with 1 run on a single by Brendan Tracey and a triple by Pat Dougherty. Big Mac Attack went ghost for 2 innings, being shutdown by a pair of K's and a few untimely pop flies. The Short Bussers struck back again and again from the 4th to the 7th led by Pat Dougherty who finished 4 for 4 on the night. Bic Mac Attack tried to chip away but ultimately succumbed to The Short Bussers by a score of 8-9. Great fight gents!
