Game #1 – The Maize vs. Dominicks Pizza and Pub

The Maize get rolling with three runs in the first thanks to RBI singles from Austin, Christian and Gary. Dominick’s will answer in the bottom of the inning with three runs of their own. Chris Laliaeak has an RBI single while Emily Kline knocks in a run on a fielder’s choice. Maize will get rolling again in the second and third inning getting a two run double from Will Das and two run homer from Aaron. Dom’s will struggle and won’t get any run across again til the fourth inning on an RBI double from Emily Kline and RBI single from Eric Rosenblum. Maize will respond with a Christian RBI single and Sam Attmiller RBI single. Maize will add a solo bomb from Tom Egitto as they will win this one easy. Maize wins 15-7.

Game #2 – Poco’s vs. Wackers

Jeff Hess comes out with an RBI single to give Poco’s the earlier 1-0 lead. Wackers will have none of that and respond back with four runs of their own. Doubles Nonny starts it with a leadoff double which then is knocked in by an Alex Freeman RBI double. Bill Brancato and Ricky Kelly make it three straight RBI doubles as they make this a 4-1 game. Brett Anker will make this a one run game grabbing two runs on a single, but Wackers respond again, this time a three run bomb from Freeman. Wackers will then take off in this one. Jay Pane has an RBI single, followed by a two run triple an inning later while Brancato delivers a big bomb of his own, a three run shot. Kris Eve and Tyler Stone try to keep Poco’s in this with RBI singles, but this is too much Wackers as they will take this one by 10. Wackers win 18-8.

Game #3 – The Runs vs. Mott-Ley Crew

The Runs come out firing getting five runs right out of the gate. Bobby Ridenower and Erik Cusano have back to back RBI singles and then a couple batters later Amy Balash has an RBI single. Crew will respond back with a run of their own with an Anthony Rapposelli RBI single. The next inning sets in for Runs and the home runs start to be unleashed. Ridenower smashes a two run bomb in the second and Erik Cusano smashes a three run bomb in the third. This paces seven more runs for Runs across those two innings. They will add a couple more in the middle of the game before we get to the seventh when Runs adds five more. Matt Kovaleski and Mattie L get runs on a single, while Ridenower adds two more runs on a single. In the end, Crew are overwhelmed and go cold in this one. Runs win 20-2.
