Game 1 - Short Bussers @ Big Mac Attack (06/24/2024)
Both teams entered the ring quietly, sporting solid defense and timely pitching, with Big Mac plating 2 in the first and Short Bussers only 1. Big Mac got busy in the 2nd inning scoring 7 runs off 5 walks, a triple and 3 singles. We all know the saying, "a walk is a run"... That rang true tonight. The short Bussers wrangled some last minute energy in the 5th, clinging to the hope of a comeback, only to fizzle out after scoring 3 runs. Big Mac keeps on rolling with another dub with a score of 12-5. Great work guys.
Game 2 - The Generals @ Big Mac Attack (06/24/2024)
Rolling with a dose of confidence, just off of a solid victory, Big Mac Attack gets smacked with a leadoff homerun by Ryan Calpin and The Generals. Usually when the leadoff guy takes you deep, it's inevitably going to be a tough battle. The Generals plate 2 through one inning followed by 2 innings of cut throat defense, holding Big Mac scoreless through 2. Angered and ready to fight back, Big Mac plates 4 runs in the 3rd inning to tie the game, but that was the end of their run. They were held scoreless the rest of the game, while The Generals scattered another 6 runs brought to you by a homers from Adam Gingerich and Chris Forester and solid hitting from the rest of the squad. At the end of the day, Big Mac would've loved a Monday night sweep, but are grateful for a solid first game dub. Great win tonight Generals!
Game 3 - Dirty Balls @ Jive Turkeys (06/24/2024)
Both teams came out with a weak first inning push until Dirty Balls manufactured 2 timely runs in the 2nd off of 2 singles and a bases clearing double by Connie G! Way to swing it dude. Dirty Balls answers another silent set of innings by the Turkeys, scoring 2 runs in both the 3rd and 4th innings bringing the score to 6-0. The Turkey Lads woke up with a double by Andrew Mayhew, who's been red hot, followed by a single by Taylor Ostritch to score him. The Jive Turkeys had enough of the one-sided battle, bringing a massive scoring inning in the 5th, plating 8 runs off of 4 singles, 3 doubles and 2 BOMBS! The onslaught was enough to rattle their Dirty Balls, as they only scored 1 run the rest of the game. The final score was 7-10 as the Jive Turkeys pulled this one out! Way to come back from last week guys. Good work!
