Each manager tandem will send in a 3-digit number. This 3-digit number will be used in a lottery to determine tournament team numbers, draft order, and first round match-ups. The managing tandem with the 3-digit number that is closest to the PA Pick 3 number (plus/minus) will be Team #1. Using each of the remaining manager tandem's 3-digit numbers, we will move in ascending order from the winning number to determine the balance of the team numbers. 000 will follow 999.
Team numbers determine draft order and 1st game start times and match-ups.
9:00 am - Team 1 vs. Team 2
9:50 am- Team 3 vs. Team 4
10:40 am- Team 5 vs. Team 6
11:30 am - Team 7 vs. Team 8

The 1-pitch manager lottery originally set for August 6th has been postponed until a decision is made on whether to allow a 9th manager tandem (9th team). That decision will be based upon the number of alternates that sign up in the next few days. I will give incoming alternates until midnight Sunday to enter.
At this point, if we go with 9 teams, that will leave us with only 1 alternate to cover player defections. Not near enough! I would not feel comfortable running a draft tourney with less than 6 alternates and even then I would have concerns 6 wouldn't be enough.
Alex Freeman and a female eddie to be determined have expressed interest in drafting a 9th team. If it should happen, Alex's female eddie must be chosen from the existing pool of female eddies or from the first 13 on the existing alternate list.
